Government Advocacy, Event Management, Workshop Facilitation
Congressman Ed Royce, Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives, addressed participants at a workshop that was convened jointly by the McCain Institute for International Leadership and Futures Without Violence and was organized and managed by Strategy for Humanity. The workshop focused on the Women, Peace and Security Act and development of an actionable implementation plan by the Trump Administration. Participants included a senior officials from the current Trump Administration, senior officials with this portfolio in the previous three presidential administrations (Republicans and Democrats), and experts from advocacy, academic, and research institutions.

For Futures Without Violence, Strategy for Humanity provided a variety of intersecting services to build their policy influence, solidify their leadership stature, and enhance their capacity to bridge and better align efforts across the political spectrum. Activities included creating a multi-year strategy to develop and inform policy initiatives, build large and diverse coalitions and partnerships, convene highly strategic and influential events, and produce timely reports featuring new research and actionable policy recommendations.

On behalf of International Development Law Organization (IDLO), Strategy for Humanity organized a policy briefing in the U.S. Senate to report on security and legal reform developments in Afghanistan. The 5th Anniversary Gala for the Global Women's Institute at George Washington University took place at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. and was part of a series of activities guided and supported by Strategy for Humanity. Strategy for Humanity worked with the Global Women's Institute at George Washington in advance of their fifth anniversary. The project purpose was to highlight their achievements, raise their profile at the university, and strengthen how they convey their distinct brand. Our services included recommendations and planning for strategic events, content and design for newly branded materials, review and revisions to revamp their website, and guidance for establishing an influential Advisory Council along with other thought leadership initiatives.
The evening also featured an original stage production by Dr. Leslie Jacobson.
