Strategy for Humanity's team of experts are experienced in preparing highly specialized materials for a variety of strategic audiences. Our team has earned a strong reputation for leading successful initiatives to influence and shape policy, strengthen public understanding and support, and enhance collaboration among diverse actors by finding and building on key areas of common interest. Our team has convened consultations with leading experts, drafted and edited influential reports, and prepared a variety of tools for advocacy and public education. Specialized services may include:

Strategy for Humanity and the Women's Refugee Commission combined their expertise to produce a Policy Brief focusing on violence in the Northern Triangle of Central America and the actions necessary to improve security, protect rights, and prevent further violence. Alexandra Arriaga, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Strategy for Humanity, and Joan Timoney, Director of Advocacy and External Relations at the Women's Refugee Commission, presented the brief at the Wilson Center, at an overflow event that was live-cast across the hemisphere. The Policy Brief was one in a series commissioned by the Civil Society Working Group on Women, Peace and Security.

"A Necessary Good: U.S. Leadership on Preventing Mass Atrocities" provides a detailed and compelling roadmap to make the prevention of genocide and mass atrocities a cornerstone of U.S. foreign policy. It offers the analysis and recommendations of the Experts Committee on Prevention of Mass Violence, which convened in 2016 to prepare a guiding document for the new presidential administration at a time of critical violent outbreaks globally. On behalf of the Friends Committee on National Legislation Education Fund, Strategy for Humanity managed input from the Experts Committee and served as chief author for this report.

For the Stanley Foundation, Strategy for Humanity designed and facilitated a Policy Lab and prepared the follow on report entitled, "Human Protection: Strategic Opportunities in a Challenging Political Environment." The convening brought together a diverse pool of external thought leaders and internal stakeholders to refine ideas, discuss the current human protection policy landscape and offer recommendations.

For the Center for Civilians in Conflict (CIVIC), Strategy for Humanity facilitated the strategic planning process and prepared the final results.

Strategy for Humanity worked with the Global Women's Institute at George Washington in advance of their fifth anniversary. The project purpose was to highlight their achievements, raise their profile at the university, and strengthen how they convey their distinct brand. Our services included recommendations and planning for strategic events, content and design for newly branded materials, review and revisions to revamp their website, and guidance for establishing an influential Advisory Council along with other thought leadership initiatives.

Global Women's Institute 5 Year Anniversary Report

For Futures Without Violence, Strategy for Humanity designed, managed, and led a series of strategically conceived leadership events. The purpose was to bring together influential policy makers and thought leaders across the political spectrum, expand support by recruiting influential partners, and improve policy initiatives and implementation by generating innovative recommendations from experts across a variety of relevant professional sectors. These events enabled our client to strengthen their policy influence, solidify their leadership stature, build large and diverse coalitions and partnerships, and enhance their capacity to bridge and better align efforts across the political spectrum. In addition, Strategy for Humanity spearheaded the writing and production of subsequent reports, summarizing key research findings and critical policy recommendations.

Strategy for Humanity drafted, edited and designed to seminal publications for Futures Without Violence. The report entitled "Linking Security of Women and Security of States" provides evidence and recommendations from leading experts representing diverse political perspectives. The report entitled How American Policy & Funding is Addressing Gender-Based Violence Globally" provides analysis about the economic, political and health costs of GBV and showcases initiatives that have a low financial cost but a high societal impact for reducing violence.

For the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Strategy for Humanity conducted a research to summarize implementation of Presidential Study Directive 10 (PSD-10), which resolved that preventing genocide and mass atrocities is a core national security interest, established the Atrocities Prevention Board (APB), and instructed National Security Staff to prepare a study on how the APB could best accomplish its objectives. Specifically, the report explored actions by the APB, the Department of State, the United States Agency for International Development, and certain Department of Defense components to develop and implement training on atrocity prevention.

A separate report examines the U.S. government's interventions to prevent atrocities in the Central African Republic (CAR) between December 2012 and September 2014. The report draws lessons and offers recommendations.

For Peace Direct, Strategy for Humanity designed and led expert consultations to gather the latest data, lessons learned, and insights regarding atrocity prevention and peace-building. Strategy for Humanity provided the initial content and subsequent review and edits for the final report and accompanying executive summary. This document is aimed at actors who are engaged directly in this field overseas and those who are working through the United Nations.

For the American Jewish World Service, Strategy for Humanity prepared a set of tools for measuring and evaluating the implementation and impact of grants overseas. In developing the tools, Strategy for Humanity consulted with local leaders in India who are engaged in efforts to reduce incidents of child, early and forced marriage and empower women and girls.
